2013 Sponsorship Opportunities
The
That Dam Cancer Run is a 5k run/walk for runners and walkers of all ages to
benefit the American Cancer Society. The
run/walk will start at Murray Park in Little Rock at 8am on Saturday, August 24th.
The
course will head West down the Arkansas River Trail and then cross the Arkansas
River on the Big Dam Bridge, the largest pedestrian only bridge in the United
States. Once onto the North Little Rock
side of the river runners will complete a traffic round to head back over the
Big Dam Bridge for the finish back in Murray Park. Course length is 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) and
features 118ft of elevation gain from the two crossings of the Big Dam Bridge.
Each runner and walker who registers will
receive an event t-shirt featuring the event sponsor logos.
Participation
is planned to be at more than 300 runners/walkers.
This
event supports the American Cancer
Society’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by
preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through
research, education, advocacy, and service.
Your
sponsorship dollars help us fund groundbreaking cancer research and provide
programs such as Hope Lodge, Reach to Recovery, and Look Good, Feel Better to
cancer survivors.
